Dewsbury Ambulance Charities celebrate year of fundraising successes

A HUGELY successful year of fundraising has been celebrated by Dewsbury Ambulance Charities.

During 2010, volunteers brought in £9,103.

Events included street collections, sponsored walks, ambulance pull and a 74-mile bike ride from Dewsbury to Bridlington.

The money is primarily for a chalet the charity owns at Bridlington and used to give handicapped children and terminally-ill patients a holiday. At the annual presentation at Ossett Central WMC, cheques were given to the Handicapped Children’s Pilgrimage Trust, Batley Mencap and York House, Ossett, RNIB Soothill and Samaritans purse.
