Dewsbury Currys set to close
The town’s Currys branch is to close, putting a dozen jobs at risk.
Electrical company Dixons, which owns Currys, said they would not be renewing the lease on its retail park store in Wilton Street when it expires next month.
A spokeswoman said: “The team has been informed, and we are working closely with them to help them find alternative employment – preferably within the Dixons Retail organisation.”
There are seven other branches within seven miles of the store, the nearest being a joint Currys-PC World store at the West Yorkshire Retail Park in Birstall.
