Extra time for young people to enter our letter writing competition
The letters page is one of the most read features of any paper. It gives readers the chance to have their say on our stories, or any issues, either local or national, that they might feel passionate about.
Youngsters aged 11 to 16 are invited to submit letters of no more than 200 words.

Judges will be looking for letters written from the heart, in the students’ own style, which will grab the readers’ attention with a persuasive or perhaps even funny argument.
Entries can be from individuals or submitted via school and should be emailed to [email protected] by Friday, June 14. Please put Letters Competition in the subject box.
