Goths gather for good cause gig at Squash Club

A BIG name from the 1980s goth music scene returned to the stage at a benefit gig in Dewsbury.

Anne-Marie Hurst, former singer with Skeletal Family and Ghost Dance, played at Dewsbury Squash Club in aid of the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

It was organised by Sharon Hobson, of Liversedge.

The foundation was established in memory of a girl from Lancashire who was attacked and killed in 2007.

Sharon said: “The foundation does very important work, teaching respect and tolerance for people from different subcultures.”

The amount raised at the gig on January 14 has still to be finalised.
