Just one problem with new cycleway...
On Bank Holiday Monday my son and two teenage grandsons cycled from their home in Liversedge to see me in Ossett. They came by their usual route on the Spen Valley Greenway and along the canal bank.
I suggested they return via the new cycleway starting at West Wells, Ossett, through the tunnel at Earlsheaton to Dewsbury. My husband and I have done this walk several times and enjoyed it.
There was one small problem. The big gate at the start of the route was locked and their bikes would not go through the small gate. They had to lift their bikes over the fence to start their ride home. Has anyone else been frustrated by this little mistake?
