Kozee Sleep workers ‘are not part of the deal’
The John Cotton Group group, which is based in Mirfield, has bought Kozee’s former building in Dewsbury and other properties owned by the bed firm, which made 160 employees redundant this month after being plunged into administration.
There were hopes that a buyer would continue the company as a going concern.

“Workers are not part of the deal – it is purely a property transaction.”
John Cotton Group manufactures pillows and duvets and is located in Huddersfield Road. It bought the buildings from Kozee after it was put into administration last month.
Mark Cotton, group MD, said last week: “Both our nonwoven and home textiles divisions have experienced substantial growth over the last few years and these new properties will help us to expand our warehousing facilities in the Mirfield area to support further growth.
