Mirfield and Hopton weekly crime report

A pedal cycle, six paving stones and a frightened burglar were listed on a colourful Mirfield and Hopton crime report this week.

The pedal bike was stolen from a garden in Woodsome Drive, in the Kitson Hill area on Monday February 2 at around 10.30pm.

A window was smashed on a door where Huddersfield Road runs through Stocks Bank on Tuesday February 3 at around 3.30pm.

Another window was smashed in on a rear door in Fox Royd Drive in Kitson Hill at about 1am on Friday February 6.

Fortunately for the owners, the burglar was disturbed by a dog and escaped.

A coat, audio equipment and CDs were stolen from a Nissan Micra by unknown means from Wellhouse Lane at around 6.40pm on Friday February 6.

Six paving stones were stolen from Trinity Methodist Church in Huddersfield road on Saturday February 7 at around 2.30am.

The door of a Mazda 6 car was scratched in Knowl Road on later that day (February 7) at around 9.45pm.

Police are still on the lookout for information about each of the incidents in the report.
