The vehicles collided at about 2.35pm today (Friday) in Walton Lane, Scholes.
The biker sustained serious injuries.
The top of Walton Lane is closesd, as is Halifax Road from Hightown towards Bailiff Bridge. Halifax Road from Bailiff Bridge to Scholes is open.
