Cutwel tools, based in Central Street, Dewsbury, has taken the plunge to move to premises four times larger than its current site.

Managing director of Cutwel, Paul Hawkesworth, said: “We have moved premises before, but not on this scale.

“It has been a good two years that we have been looking for the perfect site. We wanted it to be big enough for us to expand into, and this is perfect.”

The new base will be a warehouse just off Junction 26 of the M62 at Riverside Drive.

The company has grown from its humble beginnings when Paul set up in 1997, and he hopes that the move will enable the company to expand further.

He said: “The reason we wanted to move was because we are expanding and we want to employ more people – we just needed the space – we can’t wait to get going.”

He added: “If I knew the secret of how we have expanded so quickly, I would write a book!

“I think when you treat customers properly and give them a good service, the word gets around and you get your reward for it.”

Cutwel plans to move to the new site in early September.
