New group offers sure start for dads
A new group is encouraging fathers and their children to spend more time together.
Dads For Sure, which meets in Savile Town SureStart Centre, has recently received a grant for £5,250 from Kirklees Council to get fathers to engage with their children’s learning and development.
The group provides a place for dads to get together and discuss issues such as healthy eating, mental health and good parenting. It meets every other Saturday at the centre in Pentland Road. Trips are being planned for school holidays.
