Fundraising success
THanks to everyone who contributed towards the race night held at the Old Colonial last Saturday.
The proceeds were for the Yorkshire Regiment Charitable Trust, and organisation for the event started in late January.
Recent events in Afghanistan only served to highlight military charities, which are doing much-needed work to help alleviate the unfortunate circumstances our troops and their families find themselves in.

Hide AdI have been involved in the licensed pub trade since 1979 and I cannot remember a better night in such good spirit, in recent years. It was a tremendous success and over £1,500 was raised. It is always good to see the community come together for such a good cause, so thank you all again. Your efforts were both tremendous and very much appreciated
