Pictures released of van used in Liversedge motorbike theft

Police have released CCTV images of a white van that was used in the theft of a motorbike in Liversedge.

The van’s occupants loaded a Triumph Trophy motorbike into a side door from outside a property in Halifax Road, Hightown, 9pm-10.10pm on Sunday December 28.

The bike was damaged as it fell from the side of the van, which is pictured in the background of the image, as it drove away from the scene.

PC Chris Birkenshaw, of Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The van used in this incident was quite distinctive with writing on the side panel which we believe reads ‘M Tomlinson’. The motorcycle was damaged but has been returned to its owner.

“We would urge anyone with information about this theft or the van involved to contact Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.”
