Ram raid at Mirfield supermarket

ROBBERS escaped with a large container of cigarettes after ram-raiding a Mirfield supermarket yesterday.

The raid on the Co-op in Old Bank Road began at around 12.50am when a dark coloured Mercedes saloon car reversed into the shop’s window.

Three men wearing balaclava went in through the broken window, took the cigarettes and returned to the car.
