Readers asked to name baby donkey in Birkenshaw

Blue Hill Farm shop has a new baby donkey that they want readers to name. She is with her mother - Lucky. (D553A438)

Free to enter, the winner gets a £50 voucher to spend in the store if their name is drawn out of a hat on Sunday October 12.

Farm shop owner Carlton Ives said: “A new-born donkey foal seems to light the children up when they see it.”

His wife Judith added: “It’s a novelty – how many baby donkeys do you see in England?”
