Service medal stolen in burglary

Police are appealing for information after a Northern Ireland general service medal was stolen during a burglary in Valley Drive, Thornhill.

PC Richard Shires, from the Kirklees burglary team, said: “The incident occurred around midday on Monday November 3 when the suspects have forced their way into the property and stolen several items, including the service medal.

“This medal holds a great deal of sentimental value to the victim and we want to trace those involved in this burglary so we can reunite this item with the man who earned it.”
