In the dream, Mr Wonka revealed that he was Mark’s great-uncle twice removed.
He urged him to do something to help children who were not well enough to enjoy trips to sweet shops, before handing him his hat.

So Mark is now organising a sponsored walk to raise as much money as possible for a children’s charity.
“I hope it will bring out a bit of a sense of community,” he said.
And he wants lots of families to join him for the fun-filled walk from The Little Sweet Shop in Dewsbury Arcade to Crow Nest Park on Sunday May 22.

“I’d like them to come along and join the fun.
“The children can dress as Oompa Loompas and I’ll give them each a bag of sweets to enjoy along the way.”
Mark is asking each walker taking part to raise sponsorship and nominate a charity to benefit from the event.
He said: “They can choose any charity as long as it’s a children’s charity.

“All the money will be going to the charity they choose.”
Sponsorship forms are available at the shop, which is open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
