Slideshow: Westborough High School prom

Classmates celebrated the end of the school year and their time together with a prom at Dewsbury Town Hall.

The evening was a chance for year 11 pupils at Westborough High School to let their hair down after months of revising and sitting exams.

The prom committee spent weeks planning the Oscars-themed event and asked classmates for ideas about how to make the evening the perfect send-off.

A red carpet was laid out ready for the arrival of more than 100 pupils, who were greeted by ‘paparazzi’ at the top of the town hall steps. Students also voted for ‘Oscars’ award winners, including best dressed male and female, best dancer, and prom king and queen.
