Teen excited to make beauty pageant final

A schoolgirl has seen off competition from around the country to win a place in Miss Teen Galaxy 2015 beauty pageant.

Fifteen-year-old Apollonia Llewellyn will head to Lancashire for the competition, representing Leeds on February 7.

If she wins, she will walk away with a prize package including an all-expenses-paid trip to the Galaxy International final in America, £250 voucher for a pageant dress and bouquet of flowers.

Apollonia, of Earlsheaton, said: “I am so excited to have made it to the final, it is a great achievement!

“I feel very proud and privileged to be fundraising for the Christie Charity as part of my role and anyone who wishes to donate to give them extra help is welcome to visit my Just Giving page.”

The charity raise money for The Christie NHS Foundation Trust which treats cancer patients in the north west and carries out research. Parents Paula and John said Apollonia, who goes to Kettlethorpe High School, Wakefield, was a popular but shy girl. She has so far raised £105 out of a £250 target.
