In 1965, Pauline married her husband Len and the couple moved to Hightown the following year. Pauline worked at Birkby’s Plastics in Headlands Road for several years, and made many good friends during her time as an ancillary worker. Her younger son, Jarrad, said: “Mum was really well known in the community, especially through working at Birkby’s for such a long time. She and my dad Len, who died in October 1994, had such a lot of good friends in Hightown. There are many, many people who will miss her fantastic sense of humour and will miss seeing her warm smile – mum was the sort of person who could get along with anybody.”

Jarrad said that Pauline had lived for her family and was incredibly proud to be a grandmother.

Pauline’s funeral takes place on Thursday November 12 at Liversedge Parish Church, followed by interment at Liversedge Cemetery, Clough Lane.
