Workshop is first stop for national tour of prints by artists from across Britain
The West Yorkshire Print Workshop in Mirfield is to be the first host of a major print works exhibition.
Started in 2009, the 20:20 Print Exchange has compiled a unique collection of 14,625 prints in 2013 – made by 585 artists at 40 print workshops. The project is now set to tour the country.
West Yorkshire Print Workshop (WYPW), in Huddersfield Road, is receiving a selection of prints, each 20cm wide by 20cm high, from around the country and a set from their partner studio. WYPW has been partnered with the Ochre Print Studio, Guildford, and the Leicester Print Workshop. 20 artists from WYWP are also involved.
The exhibition will also help raise money to keep the workshop sustainable, with a selection of prints available to buy for £20 each. The exhibition starts on January 11 and runs until February 22.
