Adams strike in vain as Lower Hopton defeated

Lower Hopton slipped to fifth in the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division after they were defeated 3-1 at Storthes Hall.

Hopton trailed 2-0 at half-time and although Richard Adams pulled a goal back after the break, it was in vain as Storthes Hall hit a third.

Overthorpe lost 3-2 at Dudley Hill Rangers in Division One despite a goal either side of half-time from Sam Sweeney and Scott Minto.

Wyke Wanderers are up to fourth place in West Yorkshire League Division One following a 3-1 win away to Featherstone Colliery.

Goals from Aiden Day, Ian Horrocks and Joseph Walshe secured Wyke’s victory.

Hartshead are eight points clear at the top of Division Two following a 4-2 win away to Fryston in which Owan Asquith and Jamie Wasley bagged a brace apiece.
