AFC Chickenley eased into the West Riding County Sunday Cup second round thanks to a 7-3 victory over Wrenthorpe Rangers.

Sean Housecroft and Gene Smith bagged a brace apiece, while Shaun McDaid, Michael Chadwick and Tim Clarke also netted.

Woodman Batley Carr also progressed after Michael Foulstone, Adam Gray, Greg Snowdon and an own goal saw them to a 4-3 win over Halfway.

Millbridge WMC won 3-1 against Horsforth St Margaret’s to book a place in the next round.

Jonny Beverley bagged a hat-trick for Oakwell Motel, but couldn’t prevent them losing 8-6 at Peel Park.

Joe Lyttle, Nathan Hallas and Gary Foley netted the others for Motel.

There was less good news for the Heavy Woollen Sunday League’s other sides in County Cup action as Battyeford lost 7-1 to Sandy Lane and Heckmondwike Sports Club went down 5-0 at Beeston St Anthony’s.

Clifton Rangers Reserves hit the day’s highest score, beating Parry Lane 10-1 in the County FA Sunday Trophy First Round.

Marcus Pope led the way with four goals, Jordan Hoyle bagged a double with Kyle Matthews, Alex Bottomley, Will Sugden and Danny Hoyle completing the rout.

The Yorkshireman eased through after Ben Simpson (hat trick) and Liam Oldroyd netted in a 4-0 win over Milford.

Scholes Athletic won 5-1 at Westwood Park and Clifton Rangers won 3-2 at Eccleshill WMC but Battyeford Reserves went down 5-1 to Queensbury, Birkenshaw Reserves lost 4-2 at Walkers Hounds and Punch Bowl were beaten 9-5 by Dalton.

Danny Marshall scored for Overthorpe Reserves but they lost 2-1 against Henry Boons.
