Gary Sykes earns 25th win of pro career
The Dewsbury boxer deserved his 60 points to 54 victory on the undercard to Josh Warrington’s English featherweight title fight but Sykes was unhappy with his display.
Tottenham-based Jamaican McKray attempted to connect with several big shots but for most of the fight, Sykes avoided them and tried to box at long range.

Hide AdSykes admitted he was relieved to have got through unscathed and is now focussing on his British super featherweight title against Stephen Smith at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on December 7.

Leeds boxer Tyson Lone suffered a debut defeat to Darlington’s Chris Wood, while Harry Matthew and Darren McKenna battled out a draw.
