Celtic, Moor and Heaton target cup final places

DEWSBURY Celtic will aim to book a place in the Jim Brown Heavy Woollen Cup final tomorrow (Saturday) as they host Birstall Victoria in their delayed semi-final (2pm).

Celtic should be at full strength for the tie while Victoria will look to bounce back after a battling effort saw them lose 44-10 at home to Queens in the National Cup last week.

Thornhill Trojans are at Ossett Trinity in their delayed HW Cup quarter-final, with the winners to meet Shaw Cross Sharks in the last four.

Pennine Championship Dewsbury Moor entertain Division Six leaders Hanging Heaton in their John Kane Cup semi-final (2pm) tomorrow, with Batley Boys due to play the losers of the Ossett v Thornhill game in the other tie.

In Pennine League Division Seven, leaders Thornhill Trojans A put their 100 per cent record on the line in a top-two clash at Selby Warriors, who are two points behind.

n The Heavy Woollen Junior Cup draws were made at last Thursday’s meeting.
