Dewsbury and Batley referees celebrate superb year

THE Dewsbury and Batley Rugby League Referees Society turned their annual meeting into a night of celebration.

With over 70 members and guests in attendance the outgoing president James Child reflected on what had been an absolutely brilliant year for the society.

He said, “The society, which still remains the best one in the country, was represented at nearly every level of the game both professional and amateur, clearly demonstrating the breadth of experience.”
