Nostalgia: Marathon off to a good start
The first BBA half marathon and fun run, held alongside the BBA Sports Day, made for a memorable day in Cleckheaton in 1984.
There were 701 entrants for the half marathon, which was more than had been expected.
Kay Drake was the first woman to cross the line and John Atkin the first man.
