Robinson scoops Dewsbury Moor’s player of season

Dewsbury Moor held a presentation evening for their winter season in the clubhouse last Friday.

Moor’s first team were challenging for promotion from the Pennine League Championship, when they withdrew from that competition to enter the National Conference League.

Moor’s A team are also now playing summer rugby in the Yorkshire Men’s League.

Andrew Robinson collected the Brian Delaney Memorial Trophy as he was named first team player of the season, presented by first team coach Alan Samme.

First team players player went to George Croisdale.

Dewsbury Moor A team players player of the season went to Cameron Adleigh, with half-back Tiom Kaye collecting the player of the year award.

Phil Shotton was named most improved player for the open age section , while winger Jacob Flathers collected clubman of the year.

There were also awards of thanks handed out to Steve Bruce, Derek Ineson, Jarrod Beety, Daz Tomlinson and photographer Steve Morton.

A collection at the senior presentation in aid of Moor Under-9s player Eddie Watson raised £175

Moor have made a fine start to their National Conference campaign and lie fourth with five wins and two defeats from their opening seven matches.

Moor are without a fixture this weekend but meet local rivals Thornhill Trojans on June 13.

The sides also set to meet in the Heavy Woollen ARL Jim Brown Cup final, which is likely to be staged on Thursday August 27.
