It was the third time in four rounds that stand-off Brown has been included in team of the week and he now leads the overall Player of the Year table.

The Premier Sports Try of the Week went to Dewsbury’s Greg Scott, who finished a superb move to claim their second try in last week’s win against Whitehaven.

Tommy Gallagher, Ryan Hepworth, Aaron Brown and Karl Pryce were all involved in the sweeping move before Scott finished in style.

Rams coach Glenn Morrison said: “We went about 70 metres with four or five offloads, and then Pryce turned the full-back inside out and put Greg clear. It was a great try to watch.

“We’ve said we want to play expansively this year, but we haven’t held on to the ball enough in the first few weeks to give ourselves that opportunity. It was good to get some confidence this week and show the fans how we want to play.”
