Moor turn on style to put Cas Panthers in the shade

ENTERTAINING Dewsbury Moor under-18s returned from Cas Panthers with a 34-12 Yorkshire League Division One win under their belts.

Cas took an early lead buut Moor hit back to lead 20-6 by half-time with tries from hooker Cameron Bruce, loose-forward Jamie Samme, Brad Foster and Jacob Flathers, who also added conversion points.

Connor Squires improved the lead early in the second half with a try after which Panthers rallied.

But Moor struck again when stand-off Luke Sheridan dummied his way over. Moments later Tobias Richardson followed up a kick to claim the final try, converted by Flathers.

Dewsbury Moor under-14s were edged out 18-14 at Dudley Hill.

Try scorers were Aiden Ineson and Pattrick diskin. Ineson converted both tries while man of the match went to Aiden Sheard.

Dewsbury Moor under-10s produced a terrific team performance at Hunslet Warriors.

Strong defence from Inwood, Thornton, Diskin, Crawshaw and O’Neill was the order of the day in the first half - and it was much the same after the break.

MOM awards went to Charlesworth and Brooks.

Wharton, MOM McManus and Berry scored tries for Dewsbury Celtic under-10s against Siddal while Thornton, Chapman, Sturgeon and Watson impressed in attack and defence.

Dewsbury Celtic under-9s tamed Thornhill Trojans thanks to top efforts from parents’ and opposition’s MOM Joe Mitchell, Jack Turton, Harry Commings and Jack Toulson.

Dewsbury Celtic under-7s secured a deserved draw at Drighlington with tries from Felix Ellis (2), opposition’s MOM Jake Brierley and Jermaine Marara. Parents’ MOM went to Joseph Berry.
