Morrison hails his team’s work ethic after third win

The Rams have won their opening three league games and sit proudly joint-top of the Kingstone Press Championship table along with fellow 100 per-centers Leigh Centurions.

Speaking after Sunday’s impressive win at Keepmoat Stadium, Morrison said: “We have shown in the first three weeks of the season that we are willing to work hard for each other and hopefully that continues.

“We are a tight knit bunch and if get can get them working hard for each other that’s half the battle won and I certainly think they are doing that.

“The work they have had to put in for the last three weeks bodes well for the rest of the season.”

Kieran Hyde landed a superb touchline conversion to Greg Scott’s 70th minute try and then added a late penalty goal to seal victory.

Morrison said: “Kieran’s kick from the sideline to put us six-up was a top kick and then he was a long way out for the one that put us eight up.

“He is not the number one kicker but he stood up and has kicked plenty of goals already and is doing great with the ball.

“It was a really tough game against a very strong side who had won two from two and we had to really dig deep and fight for it.

“It’s a good win and another away win which makes it even better. We let some opportunities go with errors and they kept coming at us but I’m happy.”

Dewsbury now turn their attentions to Sunday’s home game with Whitehaven when the Rams aim to stretch their 100 per-cent start to four matches.”
