The Rams have made a terrific start to the Kingstone Press Championship season by winning their opening three matches.

Dewsbury return to Tetley’s Stadium on Sunday (kick off 3pm) following back-to-back away games and Morrison is hoping his side will be roared on by a large crowd.

Speaking after last week’s impressive 20-12 victory at previously unbeaten Doncaster, Morrison said: “The fans certainly make a difference and I hope we get plenty there this week and hopefully we can give them something to cheer.”

Morrison’s appeal comes on a week when The Reporter have teamed up with the club to offer all under-12s the chance to watch the Rams for free this season.

Simply cut out and fill in the coupon on page 74 and present it at the office on Sunday and under-12s will be admitted free with a full paying adult.

Morrison had the rarity of naming the same 17 for a third game in a row against Doncaster but admits there are several players pushing for a call-up.

Morrison added: “We have a quality squad and good depth but we have to look at it each week.

“Last season we didn’t have the same half-back partnership for two consecutive games, so to be able to have the same 17 for three games in a row helps players get to know what each one is doing, but we also have some quality players itching for a game.”

Wayne Godwin required stitches in a head wound after last Sunday’s game but will be fit to play against a Whitehaven side who have lost their opening three games and are bottom of the table.
