Coach Glenn Morrison is delighted to have Seymour on board at a time when the Rams have picked up injuries to key players.
Morrison said: “At the moment I feel that Thacks (Anthony Thackeray) has a lot to do in attack, and the arrival of Brett should help alleviate some of the pressure.
“He’ll bolster our attack down the left side, and help us pose a threat on both sides of the field and he can also kick goals.”

Hide AdSeymour is expected to attend Sunday’s cup tie at Hunslet, when the Rams will be aiming to avenge an 18-6 Championship defeat in south Leeds last month.
Godwin made 13 appearances for the Rams last season before a broken arm curtailed his campaign.
He has joined Salford to help relieve an injury crisis at the Devils and could be in line to play in their televised Challenge Cup tie against Leigh Centurions tomorrow.
Morrison added: “Salford are in an extremely tough patch at the moment with injury problems and suspensions to key players.
“Iestyn (Harris) spoke to me about Wayne’s potential availability and we’ve agreed to allow him to join them on loan for five weeks.”
