RL Cup draw

Two of Great Britain’s medal hopes for the London Games will conduct the draw for the fifth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.

Race-walker and Commonwealth Gold medallist Johanna Jackson, and Louis Speight, a wheelchair sprinter and World Number Two at 100m-800m, will draw the home and away teams in the last 16 of the world’s oldest and most prestigious Rugby League competition.

The draw takes place on Monday April 16 at 3pm at Broadcasting Place a part of Leeds Metropolitan University.

“The Challenge Cup final at Wembley on August 25 takes place between the Olympics and Paralympics and will be one of the highlights of a memorable sporting year for the UK.”

The 14 Engage Super League clubs hit the Wembley trail for the first time in 2012 this weekend when 16 fourth round ties will be played.

Johanna and Louis are students at Leeds Metropolitan University, title sponsors of the Carnegie Challenge Cup, and both train at the Carnegie Faculty.
