Samme racks up 30 points in emphatic Moor win

Dewsbury Moor ran in 13 tries as they put Leeds Underdogs to the sword to record a 70-0 thrashing in Pennine League Division Four East last Saturday.

Moor adapted far better to the atrocious conditions at the Bedquilts Recreation Ground in North Leeds against an Underdogs side who were much changed from last season.

Moor had to dig deep to field 13 players and included three sets of brothers in Archie and Cameron Bruce, Brad and Jamie Samme sand Adrian and Scott Sheard.

Ashley Boddy set the tone for the game when he went over for a try after just three minutes.

Tries followed at regular intervals, with Alex Jeffs leading the way, scoring four times.

Jordan Foster, Scott Sheard, Brad Samme and Lois Greenwood added a try apiece, with Boddy grabbing a second.

Stand-off Jamie Samme racked up 30 points with a hat-trick of tries and nine goals.

Cameron Bruce set up one of Jamie Samme’s tries, winger Adie Sheard went close to scoring on a number of occasions , Archie Bruce was at the hub of Moor’s attacks, while Dominic Scanlon and Simon Whiteley also impressed in a game which was halted after 70 minutes.
