Shaw Cross go into the game on the back of last Saturday’s impressive Challenge Cup win over London Chargers and both clubs will use the fixture as part of their preparations for the new National Conference season.

Speaking of his side’s win in London, Shaw Cross coach Brett Turner said: “We looked a bit rusty in attack but our fitness was good and the new boys went well.

“London were a decent side who were well drilled but overall it was a good win in a tough game and our young side will improve with more games.”

Celtic, who are coached by Hunslet Hawks player Danny Thomas, look set to have a strong squad on duty.
