Warrington retains English title

Josh Warrington retained his English featherweight title with a terrific victory over Devon’s Jamie Speight at a packed Leeds Town Hall on Friday.

Leeds star Warrington, who trains out of the Central Boxing Club in Batley, dominated the fight from the first bell in front of his vociferous home following.

Speight was left with a cut right eye but battled on bravely and fully deserved to hear the final bell after 10 gruelling rounds.
