Standing firmly in autumn and with Hallowe’en fast approaching, now is the best time to start looking for your signature spooky decoration this season.
Whether you are looking for the ultimate Instagram photo shoot or you want to treat the kids to a spooky day out, we have got you covered.
We have put together a handy list of places across Wakefield, Pontefract, Leeds and Calderdale where you can go to pick your own pumpkin along with other spooktacular activities and events.
Lots of these attractions are in high demand so advanced pre-booking is advised.

5. Grange Moor A-Maize-ing-Maze, Wakefield
Where: 2 Wakefield Road, Grange Moor, Wakefield WF4 4DS.
General tickets are £7.50, family tickets of two adults and two children or one adult and three children costs £25 and under twos are free. Tickets include the spooky treasure hunt in the fire acre halloween maze, outside activities and bouncy castle! Where: Horsforth Pick Your Own, Leeds LS18 5ES.
Pay a visit to Horsforth Pick Your Own where you can choose a pumpkin or two from over 18 different varieties, giving you plenty of choice of whether you want a white, blue, orange, pink, green, warty, a big or small pumpkin. On peak days a tractor ride will take you to and from the picking fields, which is included in the ticket price. On off peak days, pumpkins will be available from the fields within walking distance from the entrance, but if you wish a tractor ride around the farm these will be available for an additional cost (subject to weather conditions.
Early bird tickets are available from October 1, and peak pumpkin picking starts on October 15. Entry costs between £1.50 and £7.50 and does not include a pumpkin. Photo: National World
